This post was actually drafted back in December, but I have finally decided I am not going to go back to the painting, so am posting it now.
My objective tonight was to paint a face with some three-dimensionality. I started by laying down some darker colours and then adding lights. I did better on proportions on the first try this time, although I realize now that the top of her head and her circlet ended up way too big for her face. Painting folds is challenging, but I did get a few spots I don’t hate.
